Friluftsland, a leading European outdoor retailer with 81 stores and a busy ecommerce site, faced weak site search that missed misspellings and returned irrelevant results, long email production times for its +50,000 subscribers, and poor conversion of blog content into sales. To address these issues the company partnered with Clerk.io, deploying Clerk.io’s Search, Recommendations, Email & Audience tools.

Clerk.io implemented intelligent site search (including merchandising and misspelling capture), dynamic product recommendations for email (23 product logics), and embeddable product banners for blog content. The results included a 17% increase in sales attributed to site search, over 25% more searches captured from misspellings, a 40% reduction in email production time and a 17% higher email CTR, a 57% drop in blog bounce rate (from 90% to 39%) and a 12% lift in blog-driven revenue — with overall conversion rates rising dramatically.
