Sanofi, the international pharmaceutical company, needed to streamline thousands of annual orders and eliminate error-prone manual steps (printing, scanning and emailed attachments) to ensure timely, accurate delivery of medicines. To expand electronic processing and free up staff for customer contact, Sanofi worked with ECS International using Cleo’s X4Connect EDI solution.
Cleo’s X4Connect, deployed by ECS International, created a zero‑touch, paperless order flow that standardised messages across partners and internal systems, reduced rekeying errors, and sped up deliveries. The change delivered significant time savings—Sanofi increased EDI adoption from about 40% to roughly 60%, can onboard some partners in as little as half an hour, and is rolling the approach out to additional markets—enabling teams to focus more on customer service.
