Genband streamlines its EDI processes with Cleo’s enterprise managed file transfer solution

GENBAND, a high-tech electronics manufacturer with operations in 50 countries and 600 customer networks across 80 countries, faced a rapid IT consolidation after acquiring a Nortel division that boosted annual revenue by more than 500%. The acquisition required migrating 8–10 major trading partners—who represented 40% of the new business—onto a new infrastructure that supported AS2 and XML, a capability GENBAND’s existing stack lacked. To meet tight cutover deadlines and avoid daily transition-service costs, GENBAND looked to Cleo’s enterprise managed file transfer solution.

Cleo partnered with GENBAND and integrated with the existing Pervasive Data Integrator to deliver a multi-protocol, AS2- and XML-capable platform that replaced point-to-point fragmentation and simplified integrations with Salesforce.com and other systems. The Cleo solution enabled GENBAND to meet migration schedules for the critical trading partners, reduce a sprawling estate of more than 700 applications, and accelerate realization of the acquisition’s revenue while mitigating transition risk and costs.
