Union Rescue Mission, a nonprofit serving people and families working to break the cycle of poverty, faced high processing costs, bank fees and time-consuming, error-prone manual gift entry. To address these challenges they adopted ClearView CRM’s lockbox feature alongside a check-image scanner and image technology software to automate gift processing and improve accuracy.
ClearView CRM’s lockbox lets staff scan checks and response coupons, upload images to an FTP site, and automatically pull, preprocess and batch gifts (every 30 minutes) while validating transactions and updating donor records. The solution reduced bank fees and labor, eliminated data‑entry errors, increased mail-handling capacity, and—according to Union Rescue Mission—saved “thousands of dollars,” freeing more funds for its mission.
