Canine Companions for Independence, the largest assistance-dog organization in the world, faced the challenge of scaling operations and nearly doubling placements and its multi‑million dollar budget to meet growing demand for trained service dogs. To support an ambitious fundraising agenda and manage complex constituent relationships, the organization turned to the donor‑management system ClearView CRM.
ClearView CRM was implemented as a centralized, Oracle‑based donor database and CRM that processes gifts, produces targeted mailings, handles event and volunteer tracking, and even follows dogs’ careers. The system manages roughly 40,000 gifts a year and nearly 250,000 donors, enabled Canine Companions to grow revenues from $10M to $16M, and helped nearly triple monthly giving by accepting and auto‑uploading online credit‑card payments; it also improved data consistency, reconciled fundraising and accounting records, reduced donor complaints, and has operated reliably without data loss or downtime. ClearView CRM’s customization and client services have supported the organization’s continued regional rollouts and process standardization.
