Seguros El Roble, an auto insurer with a culture of innovation, faced the challenge of identifying fraudulent claims which account for approximately 10% of property-casualty losses. Even with their existing automated fraud detection tool, FRISS, spotting fraudulent claims remained difficult. They sought a new solution from vendor Clearspeed to bolster their technology stack.
Clearspeed implemented its voice analytics service, which uses an automated phone questionnaire to analyze claimant responses and assign a risk level. This data was combined with their FRISS system to enable straight-through processing for low-risk claims and focus investigative resources on high-risk ones. The results included an average savings of $400 per claim, payouts up to 30 times faster, and a 31x return on investment in the first year for Seguros El Roble.
