TrendShift’s Cloud-Based HealthCare SaaS Solution with HIPAA

TrendShift, a healthcare company, needed to improve and expand its web-based application while moving to a platform that was more reliable, scalable, and cost-effective. It also needed a solution that could work with open source platforms and meet HIPAA compliance requirements for handling sensitive healthcare data.

ClearScale migrated TrendShift to an AWS-based environment using Amazon Elastic Beanstalk with Amazon ECS, along with Jenkins, Docker, AWS WAF, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and other security and monitoring services. The project was implemented over 13 weeks and included a blue/green deployment approach and encrypted data in transit and at rest. TrendShift said it saw the cost savings it expected and gained a safe, HIPAA compliant solution that performed better than its prior deployment.
