Onstream’s Device-First Intelligence Framework Enabled by Docker and Automated with Amazon ECS

Onstream provides a software framework that helps OEMs turn connected devices into smart devices, and it needed cloud infrastructure that could support its Onstream Mesosphere solution at launch. While in stealth mode, the company wanted a partner that could design and build a portable environment that would run both in the cloud and on-premise.

ClearScale built the cloud infrastructure on AWS using Docker containerization and Amazon ECS for orchestration, along with Apache Samza, Kafka, Hadoop YARN, and related services. ClearScale met Onstream’s deadline, deployed the new infrastructure in time for launch, and gave Onstream a foundation for fast, low-latency data processing and easier onboarding of new Onstream Mesosphere customers.
