Infrastructure Overhaul Helps Netpulse Achieve Major Business Wins

Netpulse, a San Francisco SaaS company serving the fitness industry, worked with ClearScale to improve its cloud deployment on AWS. The company was struggling with long deployment windows, weak scaling, and unreliable data sync, which affected customer equipment and delayed access to data. It also needed infrastructure changes to support new customer onboarding and compliance requirements.

ClearScale stabilized and rebuilt the environment, standardized RightScale ServerTemplates, tuned MySQL, added LUKS encryption for MySQL storage, and introduced Flashcache for faster disk performance. It also helped Netpulse move big data workloads to Cassandra and DataStax Enterprise, replace rsync with GlusterFS, and retain CloudNoc for managed services. Netpulse saw 10–15x improved performance with Flashcache and gained a more scalable, highly available platform that supported new business wins.
