CMA CGM, a global shipping company, faced challenges with server reliability and a short timeline to migrate its North American subsidiary's on-premises servers to the cloud. To meet these goals, the company partnered with ClearScale to execute a rehosting migration to Amazon Web Services (AWS), utilizing services including Amazon EC2 and Amazon RDS.

ClearScale implemented a solution that involved rehosting the servers to AWS, developing infrastructure automation code, and deploying new environments. This provided CMA CGM with highly available and redundant servers, significantly reducing operational risk. The migration also resulted in reduced licensing costs by eliminating VMWare and adopting AWS's pay-as-you-go model, while creating a more scalable infrastructure.
