ClearScale and SunRun Collaborate on Production-Ready Cloud Solution & Solve Security Challenges

Sunrun, the largest residential solar company in the United States, worked with ClearScale to identify gaps in its cloud architecture, plan a migration to Docker and Amazon EC2 Container Service on Virtual Private Cloud, and strengthen data security. The company also wanted to reduce costs, improve deployment speed, and support its growing partner network.

ClearScale evaluated Sunrun’s goals, documented the deployment and migration approach, and helped implement an architecture based on Elastic Beanstalk, Docker instances on Amazon ECS, and CloudFormation. ClearScale also advised on secure data handling with Vault and Confidant and assisted with migration from an existing MySQL implementation. The result was a production-ready cloud solution that gave Sunrun a more efficient and secure architecture, saved time, and provided knowledge transfer so its team could manage the environment with confidence.
