A ClearPoint Strategy Case Study
Rare is an Arlington, VA–based conservation nonprofit whose mission is “inspiring change so people and nature thrive.” Faced with the common nonprofit challenge of measuring long-term biological impact across many sites and factors beyond its control, Rare adopted a Balanced Scorecard approach and turned to ClearPoint Strategy (ClearPointStrategy.com) to connect Pride/project scorecards with enterprise and departmental scorecards and make performance data visible across the organization.
ClearPoint Strategy’s platform gave Rare a single, transparent system for linking measures, sharing quarterly updates, and shifting from process to outcome-focused metrics. As a result, Rare scaled its work and funding rapidly—growing from about $9M to more than $20M in annual revenue within five years—gained global recognition (named among the top 100 NGOs), and for the first time can reliably report biological impacts to donors and the public, with ClearPoint Strategy central to making those results measurable and accessible.
