Folkhälsan - Customer Case Study

Folkhälsan, a Finnish healthcare nonprofit with about 1,500 employees and 19,000 members, faced fragmented priorities, unclear links between strategy and budget, and slow reporting across its divisions. To address these challenges, Folkhälsan worked with ClearPoint Strategy to adopt the Balanced Scorecard framework and introduce an IT-based scorecard tool to centralize and refresh strategic objectives.

ClearPoint Strategy helped implement the Balanced Scorecard, establish an Office of Strategic Management, and drive leadership and departmental buy-in so measures and action plans were owned throughout the organization. The result was clearer strategic alignment, faster reporting and follow-up, and measurable improvements—Folkhälsan earned entry in the Palladium Balanced Scorecard Hall of Fame (2010) and set a new high in Finland’s Great Place To Work ranking (2016)—while tracking KPIs from membership and research outputs to quality and customer feedback.
