A ClearPoint Strategy Case Study
The City of Olathe, a local government serving 138,000 citizens, needed to move to data-driven decision-making for its parks and recreation programs after a new director identified gaps in understanding neighborhood park usage. Facing messy Excel files and inconsistent survey collection, Olathe turned to ClearPoint Strategy and adopted ClearPoint’s Data Loader and dashboard tools to replace spreadsheets and better capture park usage, amenity use, and weather-related data.
ClearPoint Strategy implemented automated dashboards and a Data Loader that categorize metrics into Parks Usage, Amenities Usage, and Weather, updating charts and metrics automatically and pulling daily visitor and usage statistics. As a result, Olathe created Livable Neighborhood Scores and a Healthy Communities Index, streamlined its data-collection workflow, and gained the ability to present concise, data-backed stories in meetings—enabling faster, evidence-based resource decisions for the city.
