The City of Germantown, a well-educated community of about 40,000 citizens, needed a way to execute its citizen-driven “Germantown Forward 2030” strategic plan and clearly communicate how data and outcomes affected residents. To move beyond Excel and disparate reports, the City selected ClearPoint Strategy to track strategic information and help tell the story of performance to residents and staff.

ClearPoint Strategy implemented a performance-management solution that tracks the City’s objectives, measures and processes (including nine key indicators), produces concise Business Plan reports with status icons, and feeds a public Community Dashboard. As a result, Germantown streamlined reporting, shifted leadership conversations to cost, time and impact, enabled quarterly City Administrator–director reviews, and gained clear alignment between goals and measures—making it easier to focus on underperforming areas and show progress toward 2030.
