City of Fort Lauderdale, a coastal city of roughly 180,000 residents, needed to turn a community-driven 25-year vision into actionable, cross‑departmental strategy while recovering from recession-driven fiscal pressures. To move away from siloed operations and ad-hoc reporting, the City sought a performance management tool to align its “Fast Forward Fort Lauderdale” vision with the five‑year “Press Play Fort Lauderdale” strategic plan. ClearPoint Strategy was selected to provide that software and reporting support.

ClearPoint Strategy implemented the ClearPoint system to build vision and strategic scorecards, visualize the City’s six “Cylinders of Excellence,” support monthly FL2STAT performance reviews, and link strategy to the budget process. The platform eliminated duplicate reporting, improved transparency and accountability, and helped the City track 12 goals, 38 objectives, 191 initiatives and 142 KPIs. As a result, Fort Lauderdale entered budget season with a balanced, strategy‑aligned budget, saw citizen satisfaction rise, and earned the National Civic League’s All‑America City award.
