CFA Institute, the global association that educates and certifies investment professionals with over 142,000 members, faced the challenge of turning a newly forged mission—focused on ethics, education, and restoring public trust—into an operational reality. To secure board, leadership, and staff buy-in and to align strategy with budgets and measurable outcomes, CFA Institute partnered with ClearPoint Strategy and adopted ClearPoint’s strategy management system to support scorecards, change agendas, and workplans.

ClearPoint Strategy helped implement facilitated workshops, “shift chart” change agendas, integrated scorecards, and customizable dashboards so teams could cascade the enterprise plan into one- and three-year activity plans and track multi-year metrics without heavy IT support. The result was strong staff engagement (“phenomenal”), clear accountability, prioritized resource allocation (enabling initiatives such as the marketing campaign “It Starts with You”), and a governance-ready dashboard for regular strategic review—demonstrable links between strategy, budgeting, and measurable progress enabled by ClearPoint Strategy.
