A ClearPoint Strategy Case Study
Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico (BGCPR) is a nonprofit serving Puerto Rican youth amid high poverty and rising dropout and obesity rates. After a near-collapse in 2004 the organization stabilized and expanded to multiple club locations, but that growth created complex data and reporting needs—BGCPR needed a more robust, agile performance management system to integrate real-time data, support trend and benchmarking analysis, and provide evidence of impact for funders. In 2012 BGCPR adopted ClearPoint from ClearPoint Strategy to address those needs.
ClearPoint Strategy implemented the ClearPoint system quickly and configured it to simplify reporting, enable real-time updates, and support BGCPR’s quarterly strategy reviews and performance measurement. That capability helped BGCPR scale programs and better demonstrate outcomes: the organization now serves more than 16,000 youth across its clubs, with daily attendance, satisfaction and engagement rates exceeding regional and national averages, rising academic achievement and promotion/graduation rates, and outreach initiatives that have served roughly 2,900 parents and 290 youth-development professionals—outcomes BGCPR attributes in part to the improved management and reporting ClearPoint Strategy provided.
