Wellesley Public Schools worked with ClearGov to improve the way it builds and communicates its annual school budget. The district faced a complex budgeting process involving many stakeholders, competing priorities, required presentations, and votes, all while balancing non-discretionary cost increases, special education obligations, and town revenue constraints.
ClearGov provided its Transparency platform to help Wellesley Public Schools present dense financial information in a clearer, more accessible format. The district used ClearGov’s benchmarking and historical data to show that many budget requests were reasonable and that leadership and administration costs were below peer districts, leading to positive feedback and making budget presentations more effective.
