Metropolitan District of Pueblo West, a fast-growing special district in Southern Colorado, needed a better way to explain its complex budget and unique funding structure to residents. With public meeting attendance declining, the district wanted a clear, accessible way to communicate financial information to busy citizens who couldn’t always attend in person. ClearGov helped meet that need with its Transparency platform.
Using ClearGov Transparency, Pueblo West launched an interactive, infographic-based transparency center that shares five years of revenue and expenditure data, along with real-time financial updates and detailed line items specific to special districts. The district promotes the portal through its website, annual report, and social media, and uses ClearGov’s dynamic charts internally during budget season. The result is stronger public engagement, easier access to budget information, and a more informed community without requiring residents to attend meetings.
