The City of West Hollywood, CA was looking to save time and increase transparency by moving its paper-based contract approval process online. With contracts and request forms getting stuck for days or weeks, staff had trouble tracking status updates, responding to vendors, and keeping departmental, finance, and legal teams aligned. The city used ClearGov’s ClearForms to modernize this workflow.
Using ClearGov, West Hollywood built a digital contract tracking system with step-based workflows, real-time status visibility, automatic notifications, and multi-level review and approval. The solution reduced the Finance department’s time to forward new contracts to the City Attorney by several weeks and turned what could take months into a reliable 7–10 day process, while also improving communication and reducing missing-information follow-up.
