The City of Platte City, Missouri worked with ClearGov to solve a time-consuming, manual budgeting process. City staff were spending June through September building the budget and PDF budget book using email, Excel, and Word, with multiple review cycles that made updates tedious and error-prone.
ClearGov implemented its Operational Budgeting and Digital Budget Book solutions to automate the process and improve collaboration. The city cut its annual budgeting timeline by 60 days, shortened the intake process from 3–4 weeks to just a few days, and gained real-time budget updates and more meaningful, graphical reporting. Platte City also plans to use ClearGov’s Personnel Budgeting tool for multi-year scenario planning.
