A ClearGov Case Study
The City of Page, AZ wanted to replace a manual, Excel-based budget request process that required department heads to submit data by hand and finance staff to re-enter it into master spreadsheets. The city also needed a better way to communicate budget information to residents, especially as shrinking tax revenues raised questions about how public dollars were being spent. To solve these challenges, Page turned to ClearGov and its budgeting and transparency tools.
ClearGov helped the city streamline budget collection with a more user-friendly, accurate workflow that reduced typos, saved time for department teams, and improved coordination with finance. The city also used ClearGov’s Digital Budget Book and Transparency page to publish a web-based budget book, share engaging financial information with residents, and strengthen public trust. Page continued its GFOA award-winning budgeting streak, and the new tools made it easier to communicate spending on trails, parks, and other community priorities.
