The City of Alabaster, Alabama worked with ClearGov to replace a highly manual budgeting process built on spreadsheets and disconnected tools. City staff needed a better way to collect, consolidate, and evaluate capital requests, while also giving every department an equal opportunity to explain and justify its funding needs.
ClearGov implemented its Operational Budgeting, Capital Request, and Digital Budget Book solutions, giving Alabaster one centralized platform for the entire budget cycle. The city used the tools to improve collaboration, support scenario planning, and create a more engaging public-facing budget website, while saving “a ton of time” by reducing meetings and phone calls during capital planning.
