Urgent Care Center, a Tampa Bay-area urgent care provider, struggled with one-and-done patient visits, slow billing cycles, and poor collections performance, averaging just a 19% collection rate and waiting about 125 days to receive payment. With ClearGage AutoPay, the center captured payment information at intake, scheduled automated payments after insurance adjudication, and communicated with patients when payments were due. The results were significant: collections rose to 65% under mandatory AutoPay, nearly 4,100 AutoPay agreements were activated monthly, 96% of patient payments were collected through the solution, monthly collections reached about $200,000 in 2019, paper statement costs dropped 50%–60%, and payment time improved from 125 days to just seven days.
