El Camino College, a Southern California public community college, needed to safely reopen its campus to over 33,000 students after a year-long closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Their human resources department lacked the bandwidth to manage daily health screenings, testing, contact tracing, and the communication of private health data. To meet this challenge, they partnered with vendor CLEARED4 and its all-in-one health data platform.
CLEARED4 provided a cloud-based, HIPAA-compliant platform to efficiently collect and disseminate daily health survey data. The solution enabled the college to conduct over 45,000 on-campus COVID tests and communicate time-sensitive information securely. As a result, El Camino College successfully maintained all in-person instruction and athletic events without experiencing any widespread outbreaks of the virus, even after lifting vaccination and mask mandates.
