U.S. Department of Education Chooses Clear Impact to Provide Technical Assistance and Clear Impact Scorecard Software to Promise Neighborhoods

The US Department of Education selected Clear Impact, LLC to support its Promise Neighborhoods initiative, which needed a way for 12 grantees and more than 200 neighborhood partners to track longitudinal outcomes and demonstrate program impact. Facing federal reporting requirements and the challenge of using data to guide local decisions, the Department sought a vendor to provide both technical assistance and a scalable performance-management tool.

Clear Impact, LLC delivered coaching, training in Results-Based Accountability, technical assistance, and the Clear Impact Scorecard 3.0 software, integrating it with grantees’ longitudinal data systems so all 12 grantees could track and report outcomes. As a result, neighborhood leaders are using data to select and adjust tactics and to predict successes; for example, Eastside Promise Neighborhood reported a 3% decrease in student mobility and a 16% decline in absenteeism for seventh- and ninth-graders.
