Nokomis Shoe Shop partnered with Clear Channel Outdoor to boost fourth-quarter retail sales by maximizing the effectiveness of their advertising budget using poster advertising (Posters). The challenge was to increase store traffic and sales at both locations while stretching limited marketing dollars.

Working with a Clear Channel Outdoor account executive, Nokomis Shoe Shop doubled their outdoor footprint from eight to sixteen posters, secured co-op dollars from three suppliers, and placed posters in high‑retail areas and near both stores. The Clear Channel Outdoor campaign drove measurable results: sales increased at both locations, customers frequently commented on the posters, and the advertised Wolverine boot sold out—prompting plans to expand outdoor advertising in 2010.
