WITI FOX 6 partnered with Clear Channel Outdoor to extend its reach during critical ratings periods and raise awareness of its political coverage using Digital Billboards (Digital Outdoor). The station needed a medium that could handle multiple messages and be updated within seconds to promote programs and deliver timely election information.
Clear Channel Outdoor deployed 11 digital boards for four weeks during each sweeps period and used Dynamic Content across 19 locations on election days, with boards scheduled by the most relevant local races. The campaign drove strong sweeps ratings and helped WITI FOX 6 become the top-rated local station for coverage of the June 5, 2012 Gubernatorial Recall, while Clear Channel Outdoor’s vibrant displays, real‑time updates and 24/7 support ensured high visibility and rapid message changes.
