Rising Academies, an education provider in Africa, faced the challenge of improving learning outcomes in regions with large class sizes and limited educational resources. By implementing Claude, Rising Academies built two WhatsApp-based tools: Rori, a math tutor for students, and Tari, a support system for teachers. The solution provided personalized learning and 24/7 access to expertise. The results were significant, with Claude helping to reach over 150,000 students and achieving a 0.3 standard deviation effect size, which is equivalent to accelerating learning by a full year.
