Portobello Institute, a multi-disciplinary college founded in 1981, struggled with time-consuming, error-prone manual administration — from creating student accounts and managing enrolments to fragmented staff communication. To address these challenges the Institute engaged Classter, deploying Classter’s cloud-based student information and academic management solution (notably the Student/Learner List) to centralize and streamline operations.

Classter implemented a Microsoft Azure–hosted platform integrated with Microsoft 365, Moodle and Stripe, automating account creation, bulk enrolments, billing and online payments and providing robust reporting. The result: Portobello rated Classter’s impact on operational efficiency 5/5 (reporting scored 4/5), improved data integrity across admissions, academics and finance, faster admissions processing and freed staff to focus on teaching and strategic work.
