Rowan-Salisbury School System secures 18,000-student district with ClassLink

The Rowan-Salisbury School System, a rural district serving 18,000 students, faced a significant challenge after a cyber incident locked down critical services and exposed vulnerabilities in its data management. Their existing single sign-on and rostering vendor provided little support, leaving the district with manual account processes, disconnected systems, and no visibility into data sharing. They turned to ClassLink for a solution involving Roster Server and DataGuard.

ClassLink implemented Roster Server to automate rostering and account provisioning, replacing hours of manual work. The adoption of DataGuard gave the district full control over what student data was shared with third parties, protecting private information. RSS is also piloting ClassLink's OneData to bring all district information into a central hub. The solution has been a huge boon, saving valuable IT time and allowing staff to reallocate efforts from organizing data to understanding it for better decision-making.
