Orange County Uses ClassLink to Deliver Entire Library of Digital Resources

Orange County Public Schools, one of the largest districts in the United States, needed a better way to deliver its growing library of digital resources to 185,000 students, 12,000 teachers, and 25,000 employees across hundreds of schools. As the district expanded its BYOD and 1:1 initiatives, it struggled with the lack of a centralized solution for accessing online applications from school or home on any device. ClassLink, using LaunchPad and My Files, was selected after an RFP process to help solve this challenge.

ClassLink implemented a centralized portal integrated with the district’s digital resources and file access through Active Directory, with support for SSO technologies including LTI, ADFS/LDAP, OAuth, and SAML. The solution also included a customized mobile app for iPhone, iPad, Chrome, and the web, giving users secure access anywhere and on any device. As a result, Orange County Public Schools streamlined access for 200,000 users and improved efficiency, with the district noting that ClassLink was a calming force during the busy start of the school year.
