Next-Generation Access and Rostering: WA District Chooses ClassLink

Central Kitsap School District, serving 11,000 students across 19 schools in Washington, was struggling to keep up as digital resource use grew. The IT team was overwhelmed by manual access management, password resets, and rostering tasks, and after trying SchoolMessenger Passport, the district looked for a more comprehensive solution. ClassLink’s LaunchPad and Roster Server were adopted to simplify application access and support rostering with open standards.

With ClassLink, Central Kitsap streamlined rostering from dozens of manual steps to just a few and gave teachers, staff, and students centralized access to digital resources through LaunchPad. The district also reduced lost-login questions, enabled younger students to log in independently, and saved valuable IT time. As the district grew from managing 9 or 10 rostering-enabled resources to 65–70, ClassLink proved essential to handling the workload efficiently.
