District 49 Uses Single Sign-On to Support Blended Learning

Colorado District 49, a PreK–12 district serving 21,000 students and 1,000 staff across 22 campuses in eastern Colorado Springs, struggled with the burden of managing usernames and passwords. Teachers, staff, and students spent too much time on password resets and login troubleshooting, which reduced instructional time in its blended learning environments. The district needed a secure, seamless way to access digital resources from any location or device, after in-house single sign-on efforts fell short.

ClassLink provided the district with its LaunchPad single sign-on platform, first rolling it out at Springs Studio for Academic Success to support the blended learning model. With one username and password for approved resources, password reset requests dropped dramatically, freeing IT staff and student support coaches for higher-value work and giving teachers more time to teach. ClassLink also helped improve application usage fidelity across the district, supporting its broader educational goals.
