A One-Stop-Shop for Establishing Consistent, Easy Access to Technology

Compton Unified School District, serving 23,452 students across 38 schools in California, was expanding its 1:1 laptop initiative but struggling with frequent sign-in problems, forgotten passwords, scattered digital resources, and difficult rostering, provisioning, and remote access workflows. These issues created lost instructional time and added workload for IT staff, prompting the district to look for a simpler way to manage access to technology. ClassLink provided LaunchPad and Roster Server to help address these challenges.

With ClassLink, Compton Unified School District moved to a unified one-stop shop for SSO, rostering, provisioning, and remote access, replacing multiple platforms with a single streamlined system. The district reported improved access for students, teachers, and staff, reduced IT friction, and significant cost savings compared with the combined cost of its previous VPN and provisioning tools. ClassLink helped Compton Unified focus more time and attention on teaching and learning.
