Craven County Schools drives 31,000 monthly messages and 7,900 connected families with ClassDojo

Craven County Schools faced the challenge of engaging its diverse community of families, who spoke 31 different languages, with inconsistent communication tools. Their reliance on a mix of email, print, and various platforms led to an uneven experience and declining engagement. To address this, the district adopted ClassDojo for Districts to create a unified, multilingual communication strategy.

By implementing ClassDojo districtwide, Craven County enabled real-time, two-way communication with built-in translation, replacing fragmented tools and reducing paper use. The results included a significant increase in family involvement and event participation. Measurable impacts from a single month included over 31,000 messages sent by teachers, more than 26,000 replies from families, and the creation of over 120 school events, fostering stronger school-home connections.
