A Class Case Study
The Centre for Higher Education Studies (CHES) is a center of excellence for high-ability students in Victoria, Australia. Its challenge was to ensure equitable access and an engaging classroom experience for both its online and on-site students. CHES needed a solution that would move beyond standard video conferencing to better replicate an in-person learning environment and build strong peer relationships for its dispersed student population.
CHES implemented Class to create an effective hybrid learning environment. The solution provided features like interactive gallery view, engaging breakout rooms, and a dual-purpose proctor view, which empowered teachers and allowed all students to be seen and heard. As a result, CHES delivered a more equitable and accessible experience, with 100% of students accessing courses virtually at least once and 50% accessing them exclusively online. Class helped prepare students for their futures by teaching them to communicate and collaborate in a hybrid model.
