Selly Park School - Customer Case Study

Selly Park School, an all‑girls non-fee‑paying school with 58% pupil premium and around 80% of pupils not speaking English at home, needed to formalise seating plans, better identify SEND and pupil premium students, and improve behaviour tracking, parent communication and performance analytics. Assistant Headteacher John Gibson introduced Class Charts (part of EduKey) to manage seating arrangements and share live behaviour and progress data with staff and parents.

Class Charts was rolled out school‑wide and integrated with EduKey’s Safeguard My School and Provision Map so teachers can see behaviour, safeguarding flags, medical/EHCP details and homework in two clicks. The vendor’s solution reduced teacher workload, boosted staff and parent engagement, increased safeguarding reports and delivered measurable gains: a positive-to-negative behaviour points ratio of 83% (above the 80% target), an average of 40 positive points per pupil, and support for Selly Park’s strong progress score of +0.41.
