Mastercard Promotion Increases Shopping Frequency and Annual Spend

Mastercard, the world’s fastest payment processing network, wanted to give cardholders more value and encourage them to use their cards more often during the holiday shopping season. With less than 90 days to launch, Mastercard needed a creative promotion that would offer free 2-day shipping at selected retailers for a limited time.

Clarus Commerce helped Mastercard source participating retailers and launch the 2-day free shipping promotion in time for the holidays, with 40 retailers included. The program was simple for cardholders to use and offered both free and paid access tiers. As a result, Clarus Commerce helped Mastercard drive 18% higher year-over-year member spend in Q4, along with 2-5 additional purchases per member.
