Water Supplier to More than 2 Million People Secures Operations with Claroty

A U.S.-based water utility serving more than two million residents across several counties needed to modernize its IT security posture while improving visibility across a large, geographically dispersed OT environment. With hundreds of miles of pipeline, more than 20 facilities, remote unmanned sites, and new compliance requirements under the America’s Water Infrastructure Act (AWIA), the utility turned to Claroty and its platform, including Continuous Threat Detection, Secure Remote Access, and Enterprise Management Console.

Claroty deployed its platform on top of the utility’s existing infrastructure to provide full OT/IoT/IIoT asset visibility, continuous monitoring, secure remote access, and centralized management across sites. As a result, the utility gained immediate profiling of all assets, stronger control over third-party and remote access, faster threat detection, and the ability to meet the EPA deadline for its risk and resilience assessment by March 31, 2020, while also improving collaboration and efficiency across IT, network, and OT teams.
