South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - Customer Case Study

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, a major NHS healthcare provider in the UK, needed better cybersecurity for its growing fleet of IoMT and other connected medical devices. The trust lacked a central, up-to-date device inventory, had limited visibility into device communications, and faced the challenge of protecting many unpatchable, care-critical devices while also meeting Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) requirements. Claroty’s Medigate platform was brought in to help address these risks.

Claroty implemented Medigate, along with integration to Fortinet FortiNAC, to improve device visibility, automate network access control, and strengthen monitoring, segmentation, and threat response. As a result, South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust improved its overall security posture, reduced the risk of unauthorized devices and cyber incidents, and gained better insight into device utilization to support ROI and negotiate lower maintenance fees with vendors.
