How a Cyberattack Accelerated HVHS to IoT Security Maturity

Heritage Valley Health System (HVHS), an integrated delivery network serving Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio, and the panhandle of West Virginia, needed to modernize its cybersecurity after a disruptive NotPetya attack exposed major gaps in device visibility. The health system’s device data were incomplete, siloed, and outdated, making it difficult to distinguish medical from non-medical assets and slowing troubleshooting across its three hospitals. HVHS turned to Claroty Medigate for healthcare IoT security and clinical device visibility.

Claroty Medigate implemented its Core Visibility, Insights, and Anomaly Detection platform, along with Clinical Cyber Hygiene, Network Policy Management, and Clinical Device Efficiency modules.
