Quirónsalud, Europe’s leading hospital group and the largest in Spain, needed a better way to manage the cyber risks of its rapidly expanding connected care environment. With more than 150 centers and a complex mix of medical devices, overlapping network issues, and post-merger infrastructure differences, the organization lacked centralized visibility into devices and had to ensure any new cybersecurity controls would not disrupt patient care. Claroty implemented Medigate across more than 30 care centers, giving Quirónsalud centralized visibility, vulnerability and threat detection, network segmentation support, and clinical device efficiency insights. The platform helped the hospital group uncover end-of-life devices, improve NAC and VLAN segmentation, expand SOC monitoring to medical devices, and reduce maintenance costs by using utilization data to negotiate better vendor pricing. By November 2022, Quirónsalud had achieved significant gains in visibility, security, device management, and cost savings, with strong ROI from the Claroty solution.
