A Claroty Case Study
Eastern European Energy and Petrochemical Company, an oil and gas operator in Eastern Europe, was modernizing its IT/OT environment but faced growing cybersecurity risk from convergence, rising OT threats, and manual asset management processes. To address these challenges, the company turned to Claroty and its Continuous Threat Detection (CTD) platform, along with secure remote access (SRA), to strengthen protection across cyber-physical systems in critical OT environments.
Claroty implemented CTD in phases to create a centralized, automated OT asset inventory, improve vulnerability visibility, and establish stronger governance for a standardized secure architecture across the company’s facilities. The company later added Claroty SRA to reduce hazardous site visits, support remote engineering work, and improve efficiency; deployment expanded to about 1,500 TCP/IP-connected endpoints across multiple production units. While exact monetary savings were not disclosed, the company reported a noticeable increase in SRA usage and is using data from tools such as Splunk to quantify operational and cost benefits.
