BW Offshore, a provider of floating production solutions for the oil and gas industry, needed to strengthen the security of its OT environments across a global fleet of FPSOs while meeting compliance requirements such as the EU NIS Directive. Working with Claroty, the company sought continuous remote visibility, security, and control over its remote offshore operations, including its BW Catcher unit in the North Sea.

BW Offshore implemented Claroty’s Continuous Threat Detection (CTD) solution to monitor OT activity, establish traffic baselines, and receive alerts on abnormal behavior and vulnerabilities. With Claroty, BW Offshore gained live monitoring across its OT environments, earlier detection of issues that offshore staff might miss, and automated vulnerability updates to help hold vendors accountable for risk mitigation.
