Midwest Energy & Communications is a customer-owned utilities co-operative delivering electric, propane and fiber internet to over 35,000 homes across rural Michigan and parts of Indiana and Ohio. After rapid growth to 135 employees across five offices and a large mobile field workforce, MEC needed a single digital workplace to keep staff informed and connected — they selected the Claromentis digital workplace and mobile intranet to meet that need.

Claromentis implemented an integrated intranet with news, people profiles, calendar, e-forms, pages and room booking plus a mobile intranet for field access. The result is a centralized “go-to” hub used daily by customer care and field teams, on-the-go access for remote workers, and higher employee engagement with staff regularly liking and commenting on posts.
