Caltech automates grant application data collection with Clarivate

The California Institute of Technology (Caltech) faced a challenge where its librarians were spending a huge amount of time manually collecting and vetting complex data on collaborators for faculty funding applications, a process that was complicated by the rise of multi-authored papers. To streamline this, they turned to Clarivate and its Web of Science expanded API.

Clarivate's solution automated the majority of this data collection process. This allowed Caltech librarians to save significant time and better assist faculty with their National Science Foundation grant applications, effectively meeting the exacting requirements and positioning the library to better serve the interdisciplinary needs of the research environment.
