ACON Laboratories needed a better way to help doctors and patients manage diabetes data between office visits. Patients were manually logging blood glucose readings, making it difficult to track dangerous highs and lows over time. Clarity supported ACON Laboratories with a HIPAA portal and app solution to improve monitoring and sharing of patient information.

Clarity built three HIPAA-compliant apps: a mobile app for Bluetooth device syncing, a doctor portal for reviewing and editing records, and a Windows app for clinic use with USB-connected devices. The solution automatically pushed readings to providers, let patients invite doctors into their records, and enabled caregivers to set thresholds and receive alerts when patients were out of range. Clarity’s system also supported ACON Laboratories’ plan to deploy devices in African clinics, helping extend diabetes care to entire villages.
