Out-of-the-Box Cloud Licensing Software for the State of Michigan Liquor Division

The State of Michigan’s Liquor Control Commission needed to replace a custom-built legacy licensing system that was becoming too costly to maintain and lacked reliable support. To find a more modern option, the agency turned to Clariti and its cloud-based permitting and licensing software with out-of-the-box functionality.

Clariti implemented built-in tools including the Accounting Package, Dynamic Rules Engine, and Letters Engine to streamline reporting, automate workflows, and generate renewal notices and other correspondence. The new system improved efficiency and compliance for daily operations, and it is now supporting the agency’s first triennial renewal cycle with roughly 30,000 licenses while helping staff move forward quickly with responsive vendor support.
